“BC’s Little Nugget”
This city was not good.  The place tried so hard to be a tourist town, it failed on many accounts; mainly there was nothing to do.  The info centre/museum had lots of pamphlets with things to do, 15 musts, walking tours, driving tours, scenic routes, and more.  My favorite was the Jade Sculpture Walking Tour.  Siobhán and I saw most of the sculptures walking to the main drag.  They were polished, un-sculpted, hunks of jade. What a town.
We headed out of town, visiting a few Water is Power day use parks.  Signs like that above were common.
Then we found the gold at the end of the rainbow.  FREE CAMPING.  Fully legitimate free camping: picnic tables, fire pits, out houses, maximum stay 14 days, checkout time is noon.  British Columbia Forest Service Recreation Sites.
