Time to leave

Today is the final day in Abbotsford.  We had planned on leaving Abbotsford immediately after breakfast. That soon turned into leaving no later than three O’clock.  When all was said and done, we left sometime around 8.
The drive to Hope was all smooth sailing, we even eat the “BEST Burgers In Town.”  The van was surprisingly good on gas, the gas-o-meter had dropped on 1/8th of a tank of gas.
The trip to Osoyoos began.  I was prepared to make the 3 hour drive that night, and wake up in “Canada’s only desert.”  At some point along the way we use up all the remaining gas from the tank. We had not passed a gas bar in over an hour, and has been given no indication that we would be needing to gas up before making the long drive down the Crows-nest Highway.  After about 20 minutes of driving with the gas-o-meter on empty we see a gas bar up ahead.  The fuel price is well over a buck a litre, so we know that it is still operational, but at this late hour it is closed.  With little now no options, we set up camp outside of a gas bar.  Night one.
